They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks and this is quite true. The Sex and the City movie was nothing fresh and spectacular, but more of a return to old ways in a grander, more glamorous, two-and-a-half-hour scale. At the risk of being insulting, the film was basically a rehashing of similar venues and scenarios already explored in the series. But this formula isn’t entirely bad per se as dedicated fans will love the nostalgia and new viewers will enjoy the seemingly fresh stories. They all win. So who said old tricks were bad?

So yeah…I’m back! After a prolonged Writers’ Strikesque hiatus, I’m back on the blogroll, pissed off and feeling the shame of being surplus summer labor. So excuse the stone-cold tone of this post…
Thursday, the glamorous red-carpet of the Cannes Film Festival was stained with controversy about Sharon Stone’s comment about red-China’s recent earthquake, “”Then all this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and I thought, is that karma? When you’re not nice, that the bad things happen to you?”
Hearing that, I COULDN’T HELP BUT WONDER (in my Carrie Bradshaw state induced by the Sex and the City movie fervor)…what if this crude, 50-year-old, full-frontal bearing, somewhat washed-up celebrity was right?

Okay, I’ve talked to you about the thin pioneer plasma, but this is insane. Among the various other thin flat panels I have mentioned, this Sony OLED is pretty sexy despite its anorexia. Introducing a prototype by Sony, a .2mm thick… OLED panel, with a screen size of 3.5 inches.

Well by the end of the decade that should be set to change as Toyota officially confirmed that they are currently jointly developing a RWD sportscar with Subaru on April 10, 2008. Each brand would be set to get its own version of the car, set to be powered by one of Subaru’s boxer engines. So far all we have is the above sketch courtesy of Autocar, but …Read more!

The unveiling of a new Lamborghini is always a huge event, especially to me. And this one is no different. Much like the Murcielago was transformed into the LP640, the Gallardo is now the Gallardo LP 560-4. LP for longitudinale posteriore, the engine’s positioning in the car, 560 for 560 PS/ 552 HP, and 4 for its four-wheel-drive system. The redesigned new front end adds some angles reminiscent of the new Reventon. The profile remains largely the same but the rear end is completely redesigned. The taillights are wider and no longer travel up rear deck of the car. Below them a black grille stretches across the entire rear end of the car and a pair of dual exhausts are visible exiting from a black housing above a new rear diffuser. Tons more pics (including the interior) after the jump and some pics of the old Gallardo for comparison. …Read more!
