City of Smyrna’s Birthday
Today, the 5th of August, celebrates the City of Smyrna’s birthday! Where is this City of Smyrna you ask? Well, it is right here smack dab near Atlanta, Georgia. The weather actually rained and thundered somewhat, but it calmed down. The weather service lied =/, so I am glad that I actually decided to go. Before my friends and I attended the festival, we ate at Zucca’s. Good food and pizza awaited our tummies, in which we finished everything. Having been through about an hour of food, we paid our dues and left for the party.
The party was not far from here, so we walked around. Eventually we met up with friends, walked some more, found even more friends walked some more, until we came back where we were before and chilled out. Sitting down on the wet grass, we were glad that our friend brought a blanket… I am glad that she brought a blanket cus we never would have thought to bring one. So while we were sitting on a blanket, more prepared people had chairs and tables with them. We ended up getting our clothes wet due to the wet grass seaping through the blanket.
Hours passed by and suddenly, the lights grew dark and out came the fireworks =). Quickly rushing to get my camera, I held still and try to get as many shots as I could of the event. With the beeping of my camera, my batteries would die soon after a couple of shots. Satisfied with the shots I took, I sat back and relaxed as I saw the last few of the fireworks.
When everything was finished, people packed up and walked to their cars. Hanging out and talking, we discussed future plans in our orchestra class, which you will see a big post about, haha…
So then I had my ride home and here I am now, writing this post. Next up, a post on making Adobo, my style =).
