Apple Crisp Dessert
So I was sorta bored last night and decided that I wanted to make Apple Crisp, which is a very simple version of any Apple Pie recipe. To start, grab 3-4 apples, brown sugar, sugar, flour, butter (room temperature), cinnamon, pastry cutter, mixing bowl, 9 inch-or-so baking dish (I used a round one), apple peeler, and a handy dandy knife. Peel the apples.
Cut the apples vertically through the core and carefully slice out the seeds.
Now slice the apples into thin, yet chunky pieces. Place them into the baking dish. Sprinkle about a spoonful of sugar on top of them and a pinch of cinnamon.
Place a stick of butter in a bowl. Pour about 2 1/2 cups of flour, followed by 1/4 cup of brown sugar, and about 1/2 a cup of regular sugar. (I said about alot because I never used exact measurements, that’s how pro I am =D)
Using the pastry cutter, “cut” into the butter through the dough multiple times until you see crumb-like pieces of butter and the flour mixture.
Cover the apples with this mixture, insuring a majority of the apples are covered with it. Finally, sprinkle sugar and cinnamon again.
Place in a preheated oven at 385 for 30-40 minutes or until golden. Call 911 if your house burns down.
Again, please note that I am not responsible for any fingers being cut off, dislocated, etc. I am also not responsible for any houses that get burnt, fires that occur, or any other stupid mistakes a person would make. Bake at your own risk.
Aside from those notes, enjoy the final product.
